We create audiobooks of foundational Macedonian literature, giving voice to texts that shaped our cultural identity and deserve to be heard by future generations.
The name GlasOpis comes from two words: glas, meaning voice, and opis, meaning description. Together, they reflect our purpose to describe culture through voice.
Born from a simple idea and built through collaboration, GlasOpis brings together students, educators, and cultural institutions to record works written long before modern technology existed and make them accessible in a form meant for today.
Each recording is more than a reading.
It is an act of preservation.
A bridge between generations.
A way to keep language alive not only as text, but as emotion, rhythm, and memory.
Supported by educational and cultural partners, GlasOpis continues to grow as a living archive, one that can be listened to, shared, and expanded over time. Our next step is to introduce selected works in English, allowing international audiences to experience Macedonian literature through its original voice and spirit.
GlasOpis exists because words should not remain silent.
The Words are heard again.
